Andorra World Cup day 3

Today started off with some very heavy rainfall and then we had intermittent showers throughout a pretty grey day. All riders switched back to either full spikes or cut downs.

The best thing about today was watching some of Sam Hill’s lines through the woods, he was pretty much tripling most of the shit others were doubling. The crowd here goes nuts when any of the top guys come through with cow bells, air horns or anything else that makes loads of noise. The fans will be going crazy come the finals.

J D Swanguen came by the truck today to blag some pedals because he’d killed his million’th pair of another brands,



pretty cool to have this young pinner runnin the pedals.

Mechanics are here late tonight, CRC boys Dave and Cord, Giac from Cannondale and Doug, Rick and Nigel from Sydicate defintaley have to be the hardest working guys on the circuit. First here and last out, the bikes are stripped and rebuilt after each days practice.

Dan Atherton just won the 4X which was pretty cool to see him win his first one, nice one! Brother G-Unit was a no show in the 4X apparently saving himself for the DH.



Anneke won the women’s pretty convincingly.



Other 4X related news was that Jill Kintner came 6th at the BMX Worlds so that means she’ll qualify to race the Olympics for USA. Bryn was walking around the pits telling everyone with a big grin on his face. Bryn’s another one who has dumped the clips and is now running flats full time. Shanaze Reade from Great Britain won the Wolrds so that’s awesome news for the girl from Crewe.

Others that could well be in the mix would be Kovarik Steve Smith, Gee, Ruaridh, Maybe Gracia being a local boy but he has been pretty quiet all week so maybe he’s got something in the tank. We shall see…
